How beautifully Plato put it. Whenever you want to talk about people, it’s best to take a bird’s-eye view and see everything all at once—of gatherings, armies, farms, weddings and divorces, births and deaths, noisy courtrooms or silent spaces, every foreign people, holidays, memorials, markets—all blended together...”
—Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 7.48
I do.
Why? Because the blessing that Sky Father grants is PERSPECTIVE.
It’s the blessing that astronauts are given when they look back at Earth from space. It’s the blessing of anyone who gets to see and know more of the greater picture than those in first and second person perspective. It’s the blessing we all need to be a part of societies, or organizations, or simply to fully engage in life.
If we’d like to be most effective in problem solving, we must ensure we have the greatest perspective possible.
Rise above.
