A LITURGY OF OFFERINGS, A PRACTICE OF RELATIONSHIPS

"For those to whom a stone reveals itself as sacred, its immediate reality is transmuted into supernatural reality. In other words, for those who have a religious experience all nature is capable of revealing itself as cosmic sacrality."
- Mircea Eliade , The Sacred & the Profane: The Nature of Religion (1961)

Distinctly Polytheist

We hold rites of worship beneath the ceiling of the Sky, upon the temple of the Earth. We explore this path through regular study and practice, keeping ourselves open to the idea that truth does not exist exclusively as an opposition to falsehood. We offer support in co-creating rites of passage to designate moments in life as special and meaningful. We work within our community to rediscover the power of myth, and to explore the inherent acceptance of diversity that comes from a polytheistic worldview.

Unabashedly Unique

We are different from more traditional neo-pagan expressions because of our commitment to being present... to exist in the moment of the here and now, while embodying the past, and working within a greater community to create a beautiful, sustainable future. We believe this “being present” practice creates space to reexamine our relationships with the spiritual and secular world, as well as create the opportunity for right action within our world.

Exceptionally Local

Polythiest practices are organic, naturally grown to suit our cultural psyche, as well as our individual psyches, free from dogmatic pesticides and poisonous, doctrinal soil. Mountain Ancestors exists to give our Northern Colorado community a chance to reclaim what is already ours, but has possibly been forgotten: our internal balance, peace, and excellence through polytheistic practice, spiritual activism, and right-action.
