A little bit about myself, I’m a Florida native who just made the big move with my daughter to be near the mountains and have seasons! I’m loving the Denver area so far and have enjoyed exploring the world around me. I have two Bachelor degrees, Anthropology and Religious Studies, from UCF. I loved school and love learning new things. My focus was on cultural anthropology, with a large focus on the religious practices of people. I’m also very musically inclined! I started playing piano at 8 and was singing before I could talk. Yes, I worked at Disney, it was super fun. I also worked in a museum’s exhibits and collections. Just a sampling of my many careers. By the way, I’m an open book so ask questions!
I joined ADF in March of 2008 and have been working for this church ever since! I finished my Dedicant Program in Spring 2012 and formed Manatee Oak around the same time. At that point I knew I wanted to serve as Clergy (I knew before then, but made it a serious goal after finishing the Dedicant Program). In December of 2014 I was ordained. I’ve done a few other things in my tenure with ADF, serving in the roles of Treasurer, South East Regional representative, Bardic Guild Chief, Scholar’s Guild and Bardic Order Preceptor, and most recently the Sacred Fires SIG Chief.
One of my major foci right now is on home hearth practice and what that means for you and me. I’m working on developing more for this work that can be realized across the diverse areas I serve in ADF. I’m primarily of a Norse Hearth, but I do also work in the Hellenic and Vedic areas. I LOVE talking about Heimdall, Galdr, and Hearth Keeping.
I’m excited to be here in this beautiful place working with and serving you all!
